Ingredients

  • 1 pkg Meal Starter Mix
  • 8 oz pork sausage (polish)
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 green pepper, chopped
  • 1 stalk celery, chopped
  • 2 tbsp hot sauce

Instructions

  1. Sauté sausage until cooked, remove from pan.
  2. Add vegetables and sauté a few minutes.
  3. Return sausage to pan.
  4. Add hot sauce, Meal Starter Mix, water, and cook as directed on bag.

  • 1 1/2 C chopped tomato
  • 12 oz bulk sausage (for a healthier option, use chicken or turkey sausage)
  • 1 onion, chopped and sautéed
  • Optional: basil, hot sauce

Instructions

  1. Brown sausage and onion.
  2. Place 8 cups water in large pot.
  3. Bring to boil.
  4. Add Meal Starter Mix, tomatoes, meat & onion mixture, and seasonings.
  5. Simmer on low for 20 minutes.
